PCF has helped coordinate the participation of local youth-serving organizations in supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation by hosting lemonade stands June 10th through June 12th and in the summer months. Our Foundation’s ongoing commitment to inspire collaboration between nonprofits has brought together Mentor Me, Boys & Girls Clubs of of Marin and Petaluma, Cinnabar Theater, Free Bookmobile of Sonoma County and Golden Hills 4-H to participate in this truly worthy endeavor. Our local nonprofits agree–this is a chance for kids to get involved in a cause that is deeply compelling–to help fund a cure for childhood cancer.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is a non-profit that raises money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures.
- ALSF’s mission is to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
- In Northern California alone, ALSF has awarded over $10 million in research grants!
- Alex was a little girl who had cancer. She held a lemonade stand in front yard at the age of 4 to help other kids with cancer. She did not survive, but her parents turned her dream into a reality and formed Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation which has raised over $120 million in 12 years!
Visit any of the locations listed in the flyer June 10-12 and during the summer. Help cure childhood cancer–one cup at a time!
