Through "The Reach Alliance,” Mentor Me and Boys and Girls Clubs will identify and serve some of Petaluma's most at-risk youth between 10 and 18 years of age by working together to:

  • Recruit 25 mentors for one-on-one matches with youth from eight BGC sites
  • Share training for 60 BGC staff on mentoring and for Mentor Me staff on the use evidence-based data to assess the impact of services delivered
  • Refer 10 highly at-risk youth from Mentor Me for group programming at BGC on gang prevention and other delinquent behaviors

  • To recruit 25 new mentors and reduce the waiting list for mentors
  • To provide training to 80 mentors about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and Building Resilience
  • To include 25 youth living in COTS’ residential housing in Mentor Me programs
  • To promote literacy and bonding through the availability of age-appropriate books for 1,300 youth and their families at 22 sites

$10,000 to provide athletic programming at the Cavanagh Center as well as partnering with Mentor Me to serve 58 at-risk youth participating in the Delinquency Prevention through Targeted Outreach Initiative, including recruiting 15 mentors.
